Where to eat in Carloforte

Carloforte guards a cuisine found nowhere else in Sardinia: the Tabarchino cooking brought by Ligurians from Tabarka. Tuna reigns supreme, from the girotonno festival to belly cuts, mosciamme and dried heart. The island's emblem is cascà, a North-African-rooted vegetable couscous, served beside farinata (fainè), Genoese pesto and focaccia.
